I have a PhD in Higher Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto where I also completed a specialization in Comparative, International, and Development Education. My research examines international higher education public policies at the jurisdictional level in Canada and Europe, notably as they pertain to outbound student mobility. Prior to returning to Canada to undertake my PhD studies, I was the Head of the Higher Education and Youth Mobility Division of the Canadian Embassy in France. I have an Honours BA from McGill University in French and Québécois literatures, an MA from New York University in French Literature, a DEA from the Université Paris Diderot - Paris 7 in History and Semiology of the Text and Image, and an MSc in Public Policy and Management from SOAS, University of London. I have received a number of grants for my research, including a SSHRC Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship.
I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and terrible wanderlust, meaning I travel whenever I can.
I am also a big believer in trying to maintain a healthy work-leisure balance and my interests include fitness, gardening, and all things culinary. In my off time, you'll often find me jogging, swimming, or faithfully practising yoga. Finally, I love getting together with friends over a good meal, coffee, or simply a great glass of wine (preferably on a sunny terrace).
